Maturity Management Program

Successful execution of strategy and realizing benefits hinges on effective application of the practices of portfolio, program and project management.  Application of any best practices will only be as successful as the organization’s ability to understand, use and measure these practices.

Using SPM’s maturity model, our maturity management program consists of:

  1. Assessment of the current level of maturity,
  2. Development of an achievable roadmap to gain maturity,
  3. Keeping  the momentum going by supporting the execution and measurement of the recommended improvements

Strategy, Portfolio, Program and Project Management Maturity

Going beyond the standard examination of maturity SPM recognizes the additional view of strategy as critical to determining an organization’s maturity and how to best make improvements from strategy through execution.

Roadmap

One size does not fit all as the appropriate target level of maturity varies for each organization based on specific goals, strategies, resource capabilities, scope, culture and needs. Results from the Maturity Assessment along with other components such as organization and people change management are used to develop specific recommendations and a sequenced roadmap that provides realistic milestones for both short and long-term improvements.

Ongoing Support

SPM provides guidance and implementation support to quickly deploy the roadmap and improvement recommendations. Working in partnership with you and your team, we leverage our joint resources and experience to accelerate your organization’s maturity advancement.

PM Maturity Re-assessment

Part of doing an assessment and building a roadmap is to check that progress and improvement is actually being achieved.  Additional assessments will compare the findings to the original baseline maturity level.  This provides opportunity to celebrate achievements, make adjustments to the roadmap improvements with new and supplemental recommendations to reflect the current environment and business priorities.
