VOR #OSS-075374 - Learning & Training Services I & IT (in effect until 30-April 2012)
As Information and Information Technology (I&IT) matures the need for leadership and project management skills continues to increase. I&IT increasingly manages the largest and most costly mission critical projects within OPS. This creates an ongoing need for continual learning as more people are brought into new roles and existing people take on greater responsibilities. Both governance and capacity speak to the need to improve the level of project management skills within the ministries. Failed projects continue to cost the government millions in lost and delayed opportunities. Leadership skills form the foundation of leadership without authority, a situation that virtually all project managers find themselves in at one time or another.
