The Senior Consultant will be responsible to deliver consulting and project management services to premiere clients in sectors such as Financial (banks and insurance), Government, and Retail, just to name a few.

As a trusted advisor you will:
- Deliver project management consulting to satisfy client engagements and in accordance with SPM Group practices.
- Consider and present best possible options; develop specific recommendations and conclusions for the clients.
- Lead projects and work closely with project teams.
- Develop base of highly referencable clients.
- Provide regular and precise feedback on engagement objectives, status, risks, and issues to the client and functional manager while on an engagement and ensure knowledge gained during the engagement is being stored in the SPM knowledge database.
- Contribute new and innovative ideas on products, services, or ways of doing business that would advance or enhance SPM’s value to clients.
- Operate as a subject matter expert and contribute to proposals and presentations as part of the business development process.
- Write articles and make presentations at PMI and/or other key PM conferences, client events and meetings.
- Be committed to continuous learning and improvement
The successful candidate will bring:
- 5-7 years of consulting experience, including 1- 3 years of project management experience, preferably directly managing projects/business initiatives
- Experience in managing business and IT projects and/or providing Consulting services (either internal or external consulting)
- Prior experience with a Big Five Consulting Company (example: Accenture, Deloitte Consulting) is preferred.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
- Strong client-facing skills
- Facilitation and presentation skills
- Experience in one or more of the following sectors would be ideal: government, health care and/or finance

- A business-related or mathematics degree and a post secondary degree would be desired, such as MBA or MA
- PMP certification or ability to qualify
